A 45-year-old man who recently returned from a trip to Mexico presents with a pruritic cutaneous lesion that is serpiginous in appearance, erythematous and slightly elevated. It was present on his left calf. He has used antihistamines but with no benefit. Topical fluconazole has not helped either. This lesion has advanced progressively. He says that he enjoyed sunbathing and walking on the beach barefoot. Blood tests showed a raised eosinophil count. What is the treatment of choice in this case?
