A 62-year-old lady has noticed redness of her eyes that started 5 days ago, followed by a gradually worsening, boring pain in both eyes, which has started to affect her sleep despite regular paracetamol. On examination, you note that both of her eyes are diffusely red but there is no sign of necrotising disease. When you insert phenylephrine drops, the redness does not dissipate. IOP (intraocular pressure) is normal, and she has no other symptoms. On blood tests done by the GP for long-standing pain in her hands, anti-CCP (cyclic citrullinated peptide) antibodies were positive. She has since been referred to the rheumatology team for further investigation. What is the most appropriate management option?
