A 68-year-old man is brought in to A&E by ambulance. He woke up this morning

A 68-year-old man is brought in to A&E by ambulance. He woke up this morning at 08:00 and found he was unable to get out of bed due to weakness of his right hand side. His wife reports he was well when they went to bed the night before at 22:30. He has a history of hypertension, previous myocardial infarction and is a current smoker; he works as a janitor. On examination, he has dense right-sided weakness with hemineglect and he is aphasic. A CT is performed demonstrating no haemorrhage and a hyperdensity in the proximal middle cerebral artery, and there is corresponding M1 branch occlusion detected on the CT angiography. What is the next intervention required?
