A 77-year-old woman is referred to the Parkinson’s clinic and is seen with her daughter
A 77-year-old woman is referred to the Parkinson’s clinic and is seen with her daughter. The GP examined this patient and found her to have a resting tremor in her right hand, as well as bradykinesia and rigidity. The daughter reports that the tremor has been present for around 6 months. The daughter is more concerned about what she describes as confusion over the last year. She reports that her mother is often pointing out small animals in the room which are not there. She recently stayed over at her mother’s and was concerned to find that she fell out of bed. Her mother was well in the morning. On further questioning, she does report vivid dreams in the last year or two. What is the most likely diagnosis?
