You are asked to see a 72-year-old woman who presented with a feeling of vertigo and unsteadiness accompanied by vomiting. She has a background of hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus and is a current smoker with a 50 pack-year history. On examination, you note she appears to be unsteady when sitting and needs to prop herself up, otherwise she falls to the right. She has reduced sensation to pain and temperature of the limbs on the left hand side. She has bidirectional nystagmus and diplopia and her voice is hoarse. When she is assessed by the thrombolysis nurse, she is found to have an unsafe swallow with a reduced gag reflex. Which other finding would you most likely find during your examination?
