You are the medical registrar on the acute medical take.

You are the medical registrar on the acute medical take. A 55-year-old male is brought in via ambulance to A&E resus unresponsive. You have no information on his past medical history. The ambulance crew mention he was found on the floor by his son with an empty bottle of antidepressants who called the ambulance. On arrival to resus, the nurse connects him to cardiac monitoring; his vitals are respiratory rate 27, saturations 99% on 15L non-rebreather mask, heart rate 45 beats per minute and blood pressure 101/65. The monitor shows a sinus bradycardia. The A&E doctor has taken bloods for basic haematology, biochemistry and coagulation. A peripheral venous line is placed and he is given Atropine 500mcg IV to no effect. What is the next most appropriate step in his management?
