Mr Scobbie is a 23-year-old man who has presented to his GP with concerns that his parents are trying to interfere with his university studies. He can hear them whispering to him even though they live 200 miles away. He firmly believes that they are coming into his room to scramble his thoughts around, even when they insist that they have not been nearby and try to show him evidence for this.
