You are asked to review a patient in A+E. The patient is a 21-year-old male who has been admitted due to ‘unusual’ behaviour. For the past 3 days, he has been having difficulty sleeping but remains energetic during your conversation. The patient displays intact orientation but reduced concentration and attention throughout. When you ask how he is feeling, he replies quickly, ‘I’ve never felt better! I have so much energy, so many ideas; I need to get to work!’ No significant past medical history was noted.
