A 32-year-old woman (G1P0 – currently pregnant, with no other births) comes to the GP today to discuss the rash she has developed on her abdomen. She feels that the rash has occurred due to her stopping methotrexate which she was taking for a skin condition, but stopped since she was trying to conceive. The rash features erythematous pink plaques which are raised and scaly looking. They are present across the circumference of the abdomen with no blistering.
Note: G- Gravidity is the number of times a woman has been pregnant and P- parity is the number of times she has given birth to foetuses with a gestational age of 24 weeks or more irrespective of whether the child is alive or stillborn.
