A 19-year-old woman who is G2P1 (2 pregnancies, with one previous birth along with the current pregnancy) attends her midwife clinic because she has been feeling uneasy. She is getting progressively worried about the itchy rash she has developed on her abdomen. At first it started as stretch marks but has now become larger and redder. She is 34 weeks into her pregnancy, and is worried about how this will affect her pregnancy.
The rash has linear erythematous lesions across the majority of circumference of the abdomen with periumbilical sparing. There are some excoriations present. On examination, there are no fluid filled blisters.
