A 20-year-old woman is seen by a psychiatrist. She was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa

A 20-year-old woman is seen by a psychiatrist. She was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa around six months ago and has been receiving psychotherapy since. Despite this, she is still struggling with her condition and has not been able to gain weight. She explains that she “cannot shake” the thoughts of her being overweight, that they keep her awake at night, and every time she tries to eat something, it is “like the thoughts overwhelm” her and she is overcome with revulsion.
