A 32-year-old man is brought to A&E by ambulance

A 32-year-old man is brought to A&E by ambulance. He had been out shopping in a supermarket with his partner when he suddenly fell to the ground and was witnessed to be “having a fit”. The patient was not conscious during this episode and has no recollection of it. He is currently feeling very tired and was reported to be disorientated for around 10 minutes after the event. His partner describes that his limbs were shaking back and forth, he was frothing at the mouth, that his eyes were open, and that he looked very pale. The patient has bitten his tongue. He has no past medical history of note.
