A 34-year-old female presents to her GP with a four-week history of fatigue, anorexia and weight loss

A 34-year-old female presents to her GP with a four-week history of fatigue, anorexia and weight loss. On further questioning, she describes how she has also noticed that she has less axillary and pubic hair, although she is unsure if this is related. She is normally fit and well with no past medical history of note. On examination, you note her blood pressure is 100/80 and she appears to have areas of hyperpigmentation particularly on her elbows and palmar creases.
