A 36-year-old female presents to her GP with symptoms of abdominal discomfort, constipation and fatigue

A 36-year-old female presents to her GP with symptoms of abdominal discomfort, constipation and fatigue. She denies any blood in her stools or weight loss. On further questioning she reveals that this has been ongoing for the past 5 years, however, because she has been so busy managing her start-up business, she has never found the time to make an appointment. Proceeding the onset of her symptoms, she says had no abdominal or bowel issues except the occasional case of traveller’s diarrhoea. Examination revealed no abnormalities.
