A 40-year-old male is investigated for chronic pruritis and jaundice after his wife notices his eyes look more yellow than normal. An MRCP is performed and shows beading of the common bile duct. Bloods are taken and show he is pANCA positive. When explaining the results, the patient asks if this diagnosis could be linked with the bloody diarrhoea that he has suffered with intermittently for many years. His BMI has been stable at 23 for the past 5 years.
What is the most likely cause of his diarrhoea?
