A 42-year-old gentleman presents to his GP with a 4-week history of an itchy rash

A 42-year-old gentleman presents to his GP with a 4-week history of an itchy rash. The rash is becoming itchier and is affecting more areas of his body. On examination, there are multiple areas of smooth, erythematous patches in the groin, axilla and the skin folds of the abdomen. The rash appears to affect both sides of the body.
