A 42-year old man presents with an extremely painful sudden-onset headache. The pain began several hours ago, and he describes it as an intense pain which only affects the area above his left eye. The pain initially lasted for around an hour, before going away, and has just started again. He had an episode like this yesterday which lasted for an hour, but as it resolved he did not seek medical help. His left eye is watering and bloodshot.
