A 43-year-old woman on methyldopa for hypertension has recently noticed milk secretion from her breasts

A 43-year-old woman on methyldopa for hypertension has recently noticed milk secretion from her breasts. Her GP suspects this is drug-induced hyperprolactinaemia and orders blood tests. Her results come back with a prolactin level of 1000 mU/L (range: <390 mU/L). Her GP decides to start her on Bromocriptine for her elevated prolactin levels.

What is the most appropriate management option before starting her on the medication?
