A 44-year old woman presents with a lump on her face

A 44-year old woman presents with a lump on her face. The lump is affecting her right cheek and situated just below her ear. She has had the lump for around six weeks and feels it is increasing in size. The lump is currently around 3 cm in diameter, non-tender and firm to palpate. She also complains of her mouth feeling excessively dry, and has no other additional symptoms. Her past medical history includes rheumatoid arthritis, which is currently well-controlled, and she is generally fit and well. She has not been vaccinated against the mumps virus, and nobody else in her family is unwell.
