A 46-year-old man presents to his GP with a 1-year history of a rash on his scalp
A 46-year-old man presents to his GP with a 1-year history of a rash on his scalp. He has come today because his elbows are starting to also become red and itchy over the last week. On examination, there are well-demarcated erythematous lesions with a silver scale around his hair line on his neck and elbows. On further questioning, he is also suffering with painful, swollen hands and fingers over the last month but has been ignoring it and putting it down to getting older.
