A 5-year-old boy is brought in for fever and noisy breathing for the past 2 hours. His parents last saw him playing with his toys but are unaware if there has been any foreign body ingestion. He has no known food or medication allergy. He has had an unremarkable developmental history but his parents have chosen to opt out of the national immunization scheme. On physical examination, he is seen sitting upright on his mother’s lap, with drool dripping onto his shirt.
