A 50-year-old lady presents to her GP with a 1-year history of progressive difficulties with balance and vertigo

A 50-year-old lady presents to her GP with a 1-year history of progressive difficulties with balance and vertigo. She is worried that she has had a stroke, as she has recently lost feeling in the right side of her face. When prompted, she reports a slight hearing loss in her right ear, but she attributes this to ageing as this has been worsening over 2 years. On examination, Rinne’s test is positive bilaterally, Weber’s test lateralises to the left, and sensation is reduced along the right maxillary and mandibular region. What is the most appropriate diagnosis?
