A 50-year-old man presents for a routine health check
A 50-year-old man presents for a routine health check. He is asymptomatic with no previous medical conditions. His father had surgery on his heart valves last year but is otherwise doing well. On examination, he is thin with a blood pressure of 118/70 and regular heart rate of 71 beats per minute. His JVP is not raised, and his apex beat is non-displaced and of normal character. On auscultation, there is a mid-systolic click followed by a late systolic murmur. On auscultation of his lungs, breath sounds are normal, and there is equal air entry on both sides. He has no signs of peripheral oedema. What is the most likely diagnosis?
