A 60-year-old man with a background of atrial fibrillation presents to A&E

A 60-year-old man with a background of atrial fibrillation presents to A&E with acute onset abdominal pain. He also complained of blood in his stools this morning. On examination, there was generalised abdominal tenderness but no guarding. His observations include BP 100/60 mmHg, HR 100 bpm, temperature 37°C.
