A 61-year-old lady presents to her GP complaining that her left breast is very itchy. She explains that her breast has been sore for a few weeks despite regularly applying moisturiser and hydrocortisone to the area.
She has a past medical history of eczema and hay fever and is currently not on any regular medication.
On examination there is an eczematous lesion of the nipple which extends into the areolar. The surrounding skin is red and broken from the itching.
