A 67-year-old female presents with bloody diarrhoea and 5kg weight loss over the past 6 days

A 67-year-old female presents with bloody diarrhoea and 5kg weight loss over the past 6 days. She is opening her bowels up to 15 times a day. She has had renal stones and episcleritis in the past year but is currently fit and well. She only takes amlodipine for her blood pressure and has no allergies. There is no family history of bowel disease and she has had no recent travel.
