A 67-year-old woman with 4 weeks of postmenopausal bleeding has been referred to the department of Gynaecology with the suspected diagnosis of endometrial cancer. The transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) scan shows thickening of the endometrium, and a hysteroscopy confirms the suspected diagnosis.
