A 72-year-old lady is seen in A&E due to a sudden onset of poor balance

A 72-year-old lady is seen in A&E due to a sudden onset of poor balance. She feels as though she is uncoordinated when she is walking, and she is finding it difficult to speak correctly as she cannot articulate words properly. This came on very suddenly in the last hour. On examination she has an ataxic gait, dysmetria and dysarthria.
