A 72-year-old male presents to the GP with a newly identified lesion on his cheek. He is unsure how long it has been there for but noticed it today when shaving as it is slightly darker than the rest of his skin.
On examination, you note that it is 7mm in diameter, has an irregular border with varying shades of brown throughout and that it has a smooth surface. After questioning, he explains that he is originally from New Zealand and used to work outdoors.
