A 78-year old man presents with loss of vision
A 78-year old man presents with loss of vision. He has noticed his sight gradually declining over the past year – he has particular difficulties with watching television, and has also found that people’s faces “look blurry”. You ask him to look at an Amsler grid, which he says has some lines missing. On fundoscopy, there are several large drusen on the retina. There are no fluid exudates, or any evidence of neovascularisation.
