An 86-year-old woman presents with a large left-sided pelvic mass
An 86-year-old woman presents with a large left-sided pelvic mass. She complains of pain associated with the mass and finds herself easily satisfied from meals. On examination, she appears pale and cachetic. There is gross abdominal distension and a firm mass is palpable over the left iliac fossa. Examination of the chest revealed reduced chest expansion and stony dullness on percussion over the right lower chest. A pelvic ultrasound and MRI of the pelvis have both identified features suspicious of an ovarian malignancy.
