Emily, a 32-year-old woman, presents to the early pregnancy assessment unit (EPAU) with severe nausea and vomiting. She has been unable to keep solids down since last night and is now unable to keep fluids down. She now feels dizzy when she stands. 

Emily was admitted last week with the same problem; she was reassured that the pregnancy was normal and was treated with IV fluids and anti-emetics.
