The following patient presents with extrapyramidal motor problems to primary care or emergency services.

A patient in her 40s presents to the GP with her husband. Her husband is concerned due to her behaviour becoming more socially inappropriate and impulsive, with her now having received a final written warning at work for unacceptable verbal conduct towards her colleagues. The patient complains that she also feels her coordination is not as good as it once was as she is finding it increasingly difficult to maintain her sewing. During the consultation, the patient appears fidgety, repeatedly crossing and uncrossing her legs.
