You are a FY2 on your GP rotation. Miss Kinsley is a 31-year-old primigravida patient who is 7 months into her pregnancy. She mentions having continuous and worsening right upper quadrant pain; this is non-radiating and started the previous day. Since this morning she has also developed a headache that has not been improving despite the use of paracetamol.
You perform a neurological and abdominal exam. From the abdominal exam, you find she is tender when palpating the right upper quadrant of her abdomen, a neurological exam shows brisk tendon reflexes, power intact and no visual changes. She has a slightly elevated respiratory rate but apyrexic.
