You are a  GPST1 at a GP practice. A 43-year-old lady who is a software engineer, presents with paraesthesia of her hands bilaterally and reduced sensation over the palmar aspect of the lateral three fingers. She is concerned that she is having to take increasing time off work as the symptoms are particularly bad when she is working at a computer and driving.  She is also frequently woken at night by tingling in her hands.
