You are the F2 on-call, you are bleeped by the ward to review a patient who is suspected of having had a tonic-clonic seizure. When you arrive, you notice that he is agitated, anxious and sweaty. He is afebrile and is unable to give you a coherent history. The nurse explains that he has not slept all night and that he is hallucinating. You review his chart and note that he was admitted 3-days ago and that he has a regular alcohol consumption of up to 60-units/week.
