A 15 year old female has been having episodes of sudden jerking of her limbs that are becoming increasingly distressing. She feels that she is not in control of her muscles when these happen. It seems to occur more often in the morning. On a few occasions it has caused her to fall. She is suspected to have a form of myoclonic epilepsy and is referred to the epilepsy team.
