A 21-year-old female presents to her general practitioner (GP), concerned that she may have breast cancer

A 21-year-old female presents to her general practitioner (GP), concerned that she may have breast cancer. She reports nipple inversion in the left breast, though she cannot recollect when this had developed and thinks it has always been present. She reports no other symptoms. Her past medical history is negative, but her family history includes lung cancer in her grandmother. On examination, the nipple of the left breast appears umbilicated and is able to be manually everted by the patient. There are no overlying skin changes or lumps.
