A 27-year-old female presents to a private plastic surgery clinic requesting breast surgery. She reports that her self-image is affected by her smaller breast size and that she has experienced low mood as a result of this. She has already received psychological therapy for this but reports that it has been of little help. She demonstrates no anergia or anhedonia. There is no significant past medical or family history. Her surgical history includes an appendectomy 8 years previously. She neither smokes nor drinks alcohol.
