A 48 year old female presents to A&E with vertigo and vomiting. It started around 3 hours ago and has been relatively continuous since. She also complains of recent slight hearing loss. Based on her clinical history and focused examination, she is diagnosed with viral labyrinthitis. She is reassured that this should resolve spontaneously within a matter of days to weeks, and she is given an antiemetic for the vomiting. She wonders if there is anything else that could be done to relieve her symptoms.
