A 7 year old male is brought to his GP with “dizziness” and vomiting

A 7 year old male is brought to his GP with “dizziness” and vomiting. He was brought in 5 days ago and diagnosed with otitis media. He was not started on antibiotics. His dizziness started around 12 hours ago and has been continuous. Examination of the cranial nerves shows mild horizontal nystagmus and mild left-sided sensorineural hearing loss. Otoscopy shows a red, bulging tympanic membrane, as it did at his previous appointment. There is no mastoid tenderness.
