A 73-year-old lady presents to her GP having had a collapse. The event was witnessed by her husband who stated that she lost consciousness for approximately 4 seconds. Prior to the fall, her husband noticed she went very pale. During the fall, there was no tongue biting, no incontinent episodes and no abnormal muscle jerks. The lady had previously presented in a similar manner yesterday and the GP had suggested a 24-hour ECG monitor. This revealed that there was no association between P wave and QRS complex. A diagnosis of a Stokes Adams Attack is confirmed. What is the definitive treatment for this condition?
