Mr Banwait is a 55-year-old gentleman who has recently been feeling more fatigued than normal and has presented to his GP to discuss this. He has been putting his fatigue down to the fact that he has a high-pressure job within the government, and has also had trouble sleeping because he keeps needing to urinate at night. On further questioning, he also reports some difficulty fully emptying his bladder. On rectal examination, it is noted that his prostate feels irregularly enlarged. As a result, a PSA level is taken the next day, which is markedly elevated.
