A 31-year-old nulliparous lady is referred by her GP to the gynaecologist’s office for a three-month history of heavy menstrual bleeding. Investigations reveal a 3 cm leiomyoma. The patient is keen on getting treatment advice from an interventional radiologist (IR). Her IR appointment is yet to be confirmed and she is currently on her first day of menses. Her medical record reveals that she has been taking a proton pump inhibitor for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD).

Prescribe one drug that should be administered to the patient first for this condition.
