A 32-year-old pregnant woman presents to first fit clinic with repeated seizures over the past month. Her husband managed to get the last fit on video, which shows a generalised Tonic-Clonic seizure lasting 46 seconds. The patient is currently 4 months pregnant, and, after discussion, it is decided that the benefits of anti-epileptic treatment outweigh the risks.

Prescribe a suitable drug which will decrease the chance of this woman having recurrent seizures.
