A 4-year-old boy presents to the emergency department in status epilepticus.

A 4-year-old boy presents to the emergency department in status epilepticus. He has a fever of 39.7 degrees and the consultant thinks that he is currently suffering from an extended febrile convulsion, he is given IV paracetamol, however remains in status epilepticus. He weighs 16kg.

Please prescribe one medication to treat this patient’s seizure.
