A 54-year-old woman presents to her GP struggling with episodes of hot flushes and fatigue over the last 18 months. Her last menstrual period was more than 12 months ago.

She has an intact uterus.

Investigations

Pregnancy test – negative

She is keen to start hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and is subsequently commenced on a continuous regimen of Kliovance (estradiol with norethisterone) PO once daily.
