Tommy is a 2-day-old child suffering from neonatal sepsis. He weighs 3kg. The neonatologist has decided to commence gentamicin, advising 5mg/kg. This is to be given through intravenous injection, the nurses make you aware that they only have 20mg/2ml vials.
