Many deaneries now have teaching courses on their approved study budget course lists. Formal training in teaching on a two-day course is required by most specialties for CCT. Many national training programmes (such as Core Surgical Training, Radiology and others) also offer extra points at the application stage for a Teach the Teacher course.

Tudor holds a BMedSci (Hons) and Master’s degrees in Anatomy from the Universities of Port Harcourt and Calabar, Nigeria, respectively. He obtained his PhD degree in Anatomy from the University of Sheffield, UK and also has a Master’s in Clinical (Medical) Education from the University of Exeter, UK.

Professor Tudor I. Chinnah is an Associate Professor of Anatomy and Medical Education of the University of Exeter Medical School, UK. Tudor holds a BMedSci (Hons) and Master’s degrees in Anatomy from the Universities of Port Harcourt and Calabar, Nigeria, respectively. He obtained his PhD degree in Anatomy from the University of Sheffield, UK and also has a Master’s in Clinical (Medical) Education from the University of Exeter, UK.
His academic career in Nigeria and the UK spans over 30 years. He has taught all aspects of human anatomy including Embryology and Neuroanatomy to both undergraduate and postgraduate students in Medical Schools of Universities in Nigeria, and in the UK. He also teaches postgraduate students in Medical Education both in Nigeria and in the UK. Tudor serves as a visiting scholar at the University of Port Harcourt where he initiated and championed the setting up of a Master’s degree programme in Medical Education. He has also served as external examiner at the University of Kwa Zulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa, and for the Universities of Manchester, Dundee and Aberdeen in the UK.
Tudor has current research interests in medical education pedagogy including curriculum development and assessment, strategies for students’ academic support and enhancement of teaching and learning experiences. He has published several peer-reviewed papers in reputable national and international journals. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK; and has won several teaching merit awards.

She also works as a mentor and assessor for HEA Fellowship. Recently she established Anatomy Demonstrator's role for medical students actively implemented in interprofessional peer teaching.
Recognized for her teaching commitment, Marcela was nominated for the BMA/BMJ Clinical Teacher of the Year Awards in 2020 and, in 2022, for an Osmosis Raise the Line Faculty Award, acknowledging her exceptional contributions to healthcare education.
