Frequently asked questions

Who runs the courses and mentoring?

Medibuddy runs them, and they are taught by current medical students from the medical school you are applying to. Every tutor and mentor has sat that medical school's interview and got a place, so they can tell you what it is really like. We are independent: the courses are not run or endorsed by any university.

Are the courses online or in-person?

Everything is online, so you can join from home. Live courses run on Google Meet, and after booking you get a calendar invite with the link and a confirmation email. Mentoring sessions are 1:1 video calls at a time that suits you.

Should I book before I have an interview invitation?

You can. Courses have limited places, and many applicants start preparing well before invitations go out, because the skills you practise apply to any interview. If you would rather wait, register your interest on your medical school's page and we will email you when new dates are added.

What is the difference between a live course and mentoring?

A live course is one focused day with a small group: teaching specific to your medical school, mock interviews with feedback, and the chance to watch other applicants. Mentoring is 1:1: you choose a student mentor from your desired medical school and book mock interviews in your medical school's format, with personal feedback. Many applicants do both.

How much does it cost?

Live interview courses are £150 per person for the day. Mentoring sessions are booked separately, and you can see prices when you browse mentors at your chosen medical school.

Can I attend if I am under 18?

Yes. Our courses and mentoring are designed for medical school applicants, including those under 18.

What if my medical school has no course dates yet?

We add new dates and medical schools all the time. Register your interest on your medical school's page and we will email you as soon as dates are live. In the meantime, you can book 1:1 mentoring with a student from your chosen medical school.

What is the cancellation policy for live courses?

You can cancel for a full refund with at least 48 hours' notice before the course starts. To cancel or ask a question, email info@medibuddy.co.uk.
